Reeves prides itself for its high company standards of safety, ethics, and performance.Asphalt Paver Screed OperatorReeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Paver Screed Operator based out of Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Asphalt Paver Screed Operator's primary function is to adjust the screed height on the paving machine to ensure proper depth, grade and finish. The Asphalt Paver Screed Operator is also responsible for ensuring the consistency of the asphalt mat and the overall ride quality of the finished pavement.ResponsibilitiesThis includes, but is not limited to the following:Needs to have the ability to correctly set up paver screed, lay a uniform thickness.An accurate and working knowledge of the paver screed (ex. correct speed, check on material coming out of truck, straight lines)The ability to take a leadership role on the crewThe willingness and ability to keep paver and screed maintained and cleanThe willingness to work nights and weekendsThe ability to operate equipment in a safe and consistent mannerJob RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED (preferred), but not necessarily required. Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training. Must be able to work day or night shifts. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provide own transportation to and from work. Driving License (preferred). Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
