Position Overview The Architect will support the architectural team in the design and execution of a wide range of projects, including work for municipal clients and private‑sector developers. This position offers hands‑on experience in architectural design, project documentation, and coordination while contributing to public and private sector initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design & Project Support Assist in the development of architectural design concepts, drawings, and presentation materials. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents using Revit or other design software under senior architect supervision. Participate in design meetings to refine ideas and ensure alignment with client goals. Client & Consultant Coordination Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure effective communication and project execution. Prepare design presentations and reports for municipal clients, private developers, and stakeholders. Respond to client inquiries and manage relationships to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Lead project‑specific management exercises in coordination with senior leadership. Project Documentation & Compliance Organize architectural drawings, technical specifications, and permitting documents. Coordinate zoning, permitting, and code compliance to meet local regulations. Assist senior architects with site analysis and interdisciplinary design coordination. Sustainability & Design Innovation Support sustainable design efforts, including energy‑efficient solutions and materials. Stay informed on architectural trends and industry standards to contribute innovative solutions. Professional Development Participate in mentoring, continuing education, certifications, and industry events to enhance growth. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. 2–8 years of post‑licensure professional experience in architecture, with preference for work with municipal clients and private‑sector developers. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and other design and drafting software. Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and municipal regulations; strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skill. Familiarity with construction documentation, specifications, and project coordination. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting. Passion for design and eagerness to grow in the architecture field. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on municipal, residential, commercial, or mixed‑use projects. LEED Green Associate or other sustainability certifications (a plus).
