Position Overview We are seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to join our team. Responsibilities The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at the start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; responding to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visits clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff. Qualifications Valid California Driver’s License. Must be at least 18 years of age. Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or another related mental health field. Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate (ASCSW, APCC, AMFT). Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW). First Aid certification from a qualified agency such as the American Red Cross. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Division/Program Overview Centers provide outpatient mental health services to children and their families. Working with children of all ages, at home, at school and in the community. Services Include Individual therapy Group therapy Family counseling Case management Rehabilitative/Skill building services Medication management and support.
