As a C++ Software Developer, you will contribute to the design and development of next-generation raster analytics that power ArcGIS across desktop and cloud environments.Join us in advancing the ArcGIS platform by delivering high-performance, scalable capabilities using modern GPU and cloud computing technologies.ResponsibilitiesTransform cutting-edge research and advanced concepts into high-performance, scalable analytical tools across key GIS domains, including:Spatial modeling and suitability analysisTerrain and surface analysis (such as intervisibility, geomorphometric)Pattern and density analysisStatistical analysisHydrologic analysisMultidimensional scientific data modeling and analysisPartner with a collaborative team to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative GIS solutions that address complex real-world challengesArchitect and implement robust software components using industry-standard design principles and best practicesProactively identify, analyze, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks through automated testing and optimizationRequirements2+ years of demonstrated experience in C++ software development Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills Familiarity with distributed systems, parallel processing, and GPU-accelerated computing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM fieldRecommended QualificationsExperience with C# and WPF application development Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development (TDD) practices Experience with GIS, raster analysis, and spatial analysis concepts Strong foundation in mathematics and science, with experience in scientific computing for raster analysis Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field#LI-AL1#LI-OnsiteTotal RewardsEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
