Alone At Home Safety Instructor

Assignment: Schedule varies: assignments on Saturdays and non-school days throughout the school year, and weekday classes during the summer. Wages: Starting at $19.57 per hour. Not medical or dental benefit eligible. Location: Minnetonka Community Education Center

Primary Objective of Position: Responsible for teaching Alone at Home safety classes to youth.

Alone at Home: Get prepared to stay home alone, safely. You'll learn first aid, safety procedures and what to do in severe weather. We will also review phone skills, explore fun snack ideas and learn interactive games and activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in Alone at Home classes, following established curriculum and guidelines, supervise participants, and manage class environment.
• Provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for participants.
• Establish a positive and friendly relationship with parents.
• Complete records and reports as needed.
• Monitor equipment to ensure safety.
• Ensure that all participants follow Minnetonka School District guidelines and code of conduct.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
