Skills Required:

• Detailed knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting process in both for property and liability lines
• Deep understanding of rating factors required for rating calculations
• Solid experience and understanding of insurance pricing and rating processes
• Working knowledge within a rating engine / product and maintain rating algorithms
• Ability to convert manually maintained rating rules into rating algorithms
• Ability to configure and validate rating algorithms
• Ability to test and ensure the accuracy and performance of rating engine
• Be able to demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Determine the premium impact associated with changes to current rates and rating factors, including changes initiated by the company's rating advisory bureaus (ISO, AAIS, etc.)
• Assist in the testing of new products and systems
• Knowledge of the databases including SQL is a plus
• Use both written and verbal communication skills in a clear and effective manner
• At least 3 years of related experience
