Data Analyst With Insurance Domain
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Long Term
Skills Required:
- Detailed knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting process in both for property and liability lines
- Deep understanding of rating factors required for rating calculations
- Solid experience and understanding of insurance pricing and rating processes
- Working knowledge within a rating engine / product and maintain rating algorithms
- Ability to convert manually maintained rating rules into rating algorithms
- Ability to configure and validate rating algorithms
- Ability to test and ensure the accuracy and performance of rating engine
- Be able to demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Determine the premium impact associated with changes to current rates and rating factors, including changes initiated by the company's rating advisory bureaus (ISO, AAIS, etc.)
- Assist in the testing of new products and systems
- Knowledge of the databases including SQL is a plus
- Use both written and verbal communication skills in a clear and effective manner
- At least 3 years of related experience
