Join Fannie Mae to grow your career and help people find a place to call home.We are seeking a skilled Jr. Cloud Automation Engineer with knowledge and exposure to AWS and cloud-native technologies to support onboarding of use cases into the AutoMAEtion Hub and other enterprise platforms built on similar architectures. This role requires an engineer who can quickly integrate into an existing enterprise environment and drive automation, scalability, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOnboard and integrate new use cases into the AutoMAEtion Hub platform and related cloud-based solutions.Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows, scripts, and integrations using Python.Build and optimize solutions by leveraging AWS services, including serverless and workflow orchestration.Collaborate with platform, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution.Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed systems, pipelines, and cloud services.Contribute to improving platform capabilities, standardization, and reusable patterns.Key SkillsProgramming: Python and JavaFrontend frameworks: AngularAWS: Hands-on with serverless, workflows, and data services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, ECS etc.)Databases: Experience with SQL and NoSQL (RDS, DynamoDB)IaC: Terraform or CloudFormation in multi-account environmentsCI/CD: GitLab pipelines and DevOps practicesQualificationsAbility to quickly ramp up in a complex enterprise cloud environmentTroubleshooting skills across distributed systems and pipelinesEffective collaboration across platform and application teamsShows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.Nice to Have:Exposure to Restful API integrationsGenerative AI, Agentic, andKnowledge of Azure and GCPBachelor degree or equivalentTarget Salary: $109,000 to $142,000 a yearFannie Mae is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/gender expression, marital or parental status, or any other protected factor.
