Unit Capacity: 32 Beds Population Served: The most frequent diagnosis for 6 Kidd includes, but is not limited to: Bowel Obstruction, Wound Infection, Gastrointestinal Cancers, and Morbid Obesity. 6 Kidd provides post op surgical care to general surgery patients. 6 Kidd provides care regularly to overflow medical and surgical patients from throughout the hospital. Patients must be hemodynamically stable and not require mechanical ventilation. Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs).
