Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Role: Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN CAP 2) responsible for delivering and coordinating high-quality care for dialysis patients. Responsibilities Perform patient assessments, develop and modify care plans, and document clinical data before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments. Administer medications, initiate emergency responses, and ensure safe delivery of dialysis therapy. Educate patients and families on treatment options and self-care needs. Delegate tasks to care staff, supervise, mentor, and serve as a role model for new and existing employees. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure laboratory procedures are correctly performed. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient outcomes and maintain compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current state licensure. Minimum two years of nephrology nursing experience; entry level for RN CAP 2 with meeting CAP criteria. Current BLS/CPR certification. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, moving patients, and prolonged standing. Additional Details: The role involves direct patient care in a healthcare setting, requiring teamwork, leadership, and adherence to safety standards.
