Overview:

We design and build immersive, interactive sets and environments that transport guests to entirely new worlds, combining craftsmanship, storytelling, and technical precision to create unforgettable experiences in the entertainment and attractions industry.

As a Set & Prop Assembler, you’ll bring that vision to life by assembling hundreds of different bespoke components and scenic subassemblies. From moving props and hinged mechanisms to specialty furniture, switch panels, and custom scenic pieces, every day brings a new challenge. This isn’t a line job—it’s creative, hands-on, and deeply collaborative work where problem-solving and craftsmanship are at the heart of what you do.

You’ll use blueprints and technical drawings to build detailed products using adhesives, saws, fasteners, wiring, electronics, and specialty hardware. Many parts come from CNC, paint, or fabrication, but you’ll be the one to fit them together, troubleshoot gaps, and deliver fully realized assemblies ready for installation in a guest-facing environment.

• 2nd shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• Monday – Friday

Comp:

• Up to $28+ ( $24-26 + $2 shift differential)

Responsibilities

• Bespoke Assembly – Assemble over 500 unique scenic and functional components with precision using adhesives, fasteners, wiring, and other multi-material techniques.
• Blueprint Interpretation – Read and interpret highly detailed shop drawings, exploded views, and wiring diagrams to guide builds and ensure accuracy.
• 3D Problem Solving – Use strong spatial reasoning and troubleshooting skills to adapt designs in real time and resolve fit-up challenges across assemblies.
• Multi-Material Integration – Combine wood, plastics, fabrics, hinges, slides, electronics, and more into functional and aesthetically finished products.
• Cross-Department Collaboration – Work closely with fabrication, CNC, paint, and tech teams to align on build needs and proactively resolve design inconsistencies.
• Tools & Equipment Use – Safely operate saws, drills, pneumatic tools, fasteners, and light electrical tools in a busy production environment.
• R&D Support – Assist in testing new designs, providing assembly feedback, and supporting prototype builds as part of the innovation process.
• Quality Control & Fit Checks – Inspect and test builds to ensure functionality, visual quality, and readiness for final installation or staging.
• Daily Variation – Adapt quickly to new assignments, shifting priorities, and evolving build challenges in a fast-paced shop where every day is different.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Assembly Experience – 2+ years in scenic assembly, custom fabrication, cabinet assembly, theatrical props, or other forms of mechanical assembly like HVAC or small engine mechanic work
• Blueprint Mastery – Extremely comfortable interpreting technical drawings and spatial layouts; confident making build decisions from plans alone.
• Tools & Materials Knowledge – Familiar with adhesives, hardware, electrical components, power tools, and shop safety practices.
• 3D Thinking & Troubleshooting – Strong spatial awareness and hands-on problem-solving skills when things don’t line up exactly as planned.
• Craftsmanship Mindset – Takes pride in clean, accurate, guest-ready builds—even when timelines are tight or components require adjustments.
• Adaptability – Thrives in environments with constant variation, new builds, and one-off solutions.
• Team Collaboration – Works closely with teammates across departments; open communicator who sees quality as a shared goal.
• Work Ethic – Reliable, detail-focused, and ready to contribute wherever needed—even if that means jumping in on cleanup or quick repairs.
• Physical Capability – Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive or standing tasks throughout the shift.
