Exciting Opportunity for ICU RNs!

Job Description:

- Position: RN - Intensive Care Unit
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: As needed, with preference for every other weekend
- Float Requirements:
- May float to Telemetry with a target ratio of 1:3
- Possible floats to Meridian and Boise ICUs

- Unit Overview:
- Department: ICU
- Beds: 10
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- CNA: 1 per shift

- Key Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS

- Common Diagnoses & Patient Types:
- Heart Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- Sepsis and Vented Patients
- GI Bleeds
- Strokes (TPA)
- Post-cardiac arrests
- Pneumonia
- Post-surgical complications

- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience
- Open to first-time travelers
- Must be a good team player

- Drip Management:
- RNs are required to titrate drips
- Common titratable drips include:
- Propofol
- Levophed
- Dobutamine
- Vasopressin
- Fentanyl
- Epinephrine
- Diltiazem

- Support Staff:
- Charge Nurse does not take patients
- Hospitalist on site 24/7
- Intensivist available via telehealth 24/7
- Respiratory Therapists in the ICU 24/7

- Technology:
- Charting System: EPIC
- Monitors: RNs required to read strips

- Dressing Code:
- Any clean and professional color

- Orientation:
- 1 to 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation based on experience
