Senior Clinical Systems Analyst – Epic Billing Systems Location: Palo Alto, CA As a Senior Clinical Systems Analyst, you will support the core functions of Stanford Health Care’s billing applications, implement, administer, and support the Epic Resolute billing module, and provide advanced support to achieve efficient revenue cycle functions. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure rigorous protocol implementation and high‑quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide tier‑2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on‑call coverage as required. Support core functions of Stanford Health Care’s Billing applications to enable cost‑effective and efficient revenue cycle functions. Implement, administer, and support Epic Resolute billing module and other assigned systems with minimal guidance. Independently address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision. Deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. Coordinate application support with other IT teams including Infrastructure, Integration, Reporting, and the help desk. Lead small to medium complexity new software installations and enhancement requests. Maintain up‑to‑date project documents for all initiatives, including technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables. Identify opportunities for functional and stability improvement in applications and collaborate with vendors and other ITS analysts to design and implement effective solutions. Research issues and use independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options, including alternative solutions when necessary. Participate in and facilitate team and cross‑team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university. Experience: 5 or more years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience. Epic certification in relevant module(s) within 3 months of employment date. Previous Epic Resolute Certification (or willingness to obtain). Prior experience supporting Epic modules, ancillary systems, and health system operations. Knowledge of Epic Software and other clinical systems used in a health care setting. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and current issues and trends in health care and clinical operations. Mid‑level Microsoft Office skills and excellent written, oral, instructional, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze highly complex systems and workflows; convey technical concepts in business terms; guide junior staff; and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Ability to negotiate, resolve disputes, and manage conflicts with professionalism and grace. Ability to develop solutions for new and unfamiliar challenges and to teach others.
