Job Title: LMSW / Licensed Therapist – Behavioral Health Urgent Care (Evenings) Schedule: Monday–Thursday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM | Friday 4:00 PM–11:00 PM | Some Saturdays 9:00 AM–2:00 PM Shift: Evenings | No On-Call We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Therapist to join a Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) team providing walk-in and scheduled crisis support services. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is passionate about helping children, adults, and families access timely behavioral health services. This is an onsite, evening-shift position delivering intake assessments and short-term therapeutic interventions in an office-based urgent care setting. Compensation Grant-based, non-negotiable salary structure: Fully Licensed: $29.47 – $39.88 per hour (based on experience) Position Overview The Intake Therapist conducts comprehensive behavioral health assessments, facilitates person-centered planning, and connects individuals to appropriate services and supports. The role requires strong clinical judgment, crisis assessment skills, and the ability to complete timely documentation in compliance with Medicaid and state guidelines. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments and complete required documentation within 48 hours Gather and integrate collateral information from consumers, families, guardians, providers, and treatment records Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to assess readiness for change Provide education on available services and supports Initiate person-centered planning processes consistent with Medicaid guidelines and integrated dual disorder treatment principles Develop Safety Plans when clinically indicated Identify need for further psychological evaluation and facilitate appropriate referrals Promote use of group and support services when appropriate Maintain productivity standards and complete documentation within required timeframes Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and team meetings Respond to chart reviews and audits in writing as required Maintain professional licensure, ethical standards, and complete 25 hours of annual training Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling Active State of Michigan licensure (LMSW, LPC, or equivalent) Experience in behavioral health intake, crisis assessment, or urgent care settings preferred Strong documentation and assessment skills Ability to work evening hours consistently Monday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM Friday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM Some Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (based on program needs) No on-call requirements Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Mileage Reimbursement (IRS standard rate) Employer-paid training opportunities Supportive, team-oriented work environment Paid Holidays Include: New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, ½ Day Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Black Friday, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
