CDL Driver / Laborer - Fort Worth

Overview Job title: Common Laborer with highway construction experience. The role supports workers on construction sites with a range of physical labor tasks. Responsibilities Able to operate hand tools and power tools of all types Able to listen, understand, and follow directions Able to learn how to haul, operate, load and unload construction equipment Able to dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction Able to set up traffic control devices such as cones, signs and barricades, etc. Help to maintain a clean and safe job site Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned Regular and timely attendance Qualifications Ability to learn how to operate basic construction equipment Must have a valid Texas driver’s license Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check with minimal infractions Must be able to pass a physical Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings Must be able to travel and work overtime, weekends and nights as needed and out of town Must always wear all proper PPE required in the field Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Physical Requirements Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs as needed Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day Must be able to work in all weather conditions Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations and heights Exposure to prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crawling and climbing Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change Ability to work with a variety of personalities Equal Opportunity MICA Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
