Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a contract position for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a duration of 13 weeks. The position requires day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with no on-call responsibilities. Nurses are expected to complete 4 weekend shifts throughout their schedule.

Unit Information

The Emergency Department is designed to provide comprehensive care, featuring:

• Number of Beds: 23
• Staffing: 40 professionals, including team members for day and night shifts
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Types of Equipment: Welch Allyn, GE
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Typical Responsibilities

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will perform a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Assessment and triage of patients in the emergency setting
• Administration of medications, including moderate sedation
• Participation in cardioversion and TNK procedures
• Collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Required Certifications: ALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant Emergency Department experience is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Preference for ENPC certification over PALS
