Mechanical Shop Technician

Mechanical Technician Location: Azle, TX Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with possible overtime Pay: $18–$23/hour DOE Position Overview A motor and pump repair shop in the Azle area is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their team. This is a hands‑on shop position repairing electric motors and pumps used in commercial, municipal, irrigation, and pool systems. Candidates with automotive, diesel, mechanical, or trade school experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild electric motors and pumps Use hand tools, power tools, and an oxy‑fuel torch to repair mechanical equipment Test, assemble, and prepare repaired equipment for customer delivery Qualifications Mechanical background or trade school training 2+ years of mechanical shop experience preferred for higher pay Experience using hand and power tools Must know how to safely use an oxy‑fuel cutting torch Must have your own basic tools and toolbox Automotive, diesel, maintenance, or industrial repair experience is a plus Steel‑toed boots required Benefits PTO and sick time Health insurance stipend Climate‑controlled work area for most motor repairs PPE provided (except steel‑toed boots) #J-18808-Ljbffr Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East
