Job Title: Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer/Drafter to provide engineering support with a focus on cabin interiors for new model development projects. This role involves working closely with project leadership to create feasible layouts, resolve design issues, and manage design project management (DPM).

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D section layouts and resolve design issues in collaboration with project leadership.
• Manage layout issues and DPM.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using Catia V5 and V6.
• Adapt designs to reflect changes due to styling, surrounding parts, or supplier feedback.
• Manage Senkosha 3D parts and create bills of materials (BOM).
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Catia V5 and V6.
• Experience in mechanical design, drafting, and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of cabin interior and interior trim, particularly in the automotive sector.
• Familiarity with instrument panels and consoles.
• Experience with layout and DPM management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Senkosha 3D parts is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Raymond, OH.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
