RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee

• Must agree to alternating 36/48 hour schedule (facility may consider straight 48s)

• Required to work weekends as needed, which may include most weekends during contract

• Must be agreeable to floating between Med Surg and PCU units

• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights

• 36 hours of orientation required

• Minimum 2 years of experience and travel experience required

• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

• Work with MS/PCU overflow patient diagnoses

• Must be skilled in cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, blood product administration, and various drips management

• Experience required with accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP, feeding tubes, and wound care

• Block scheduling may be accommodated but set schedules cannot be approved

• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer

• License must be in-hand before start date

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a progressive care unit that provides intermediate-level care for patients requiring more intensive monitoring than general medical-surgical units but less than intensive care. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The organization utilizes Epic charting system and maintains high standards for patient care with experienced nursing staff.
