Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: Franklin, WICompensation: $100,000 – $118,000 + BenefitsEmployment Type: Full-Time (Permanent)Overview:We are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturer with over 100 years of industry success to identify a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in driving product quality, supporting production, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.The company offers a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), PTO, paid holidays, and a two-week annual employee shutdown.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Control:Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirementsLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issuesSupport production teams in resolving quality concerns and driving defect reduction initiativesConduct audits (internal, supplier, and process) to ensure adherence to quality systems and standardsReview and approve inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentationProcess Improvement:Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologiesAnalyze quality data and metrics (scrap, rework, yield, customer returns) to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesPartner cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to improve product and process performanceSupport new product introduction (NPI) efforts, including PPAP, FMEA, and validation activitiesSupplier Quality:Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and maintainedLead supplier corrective actions and performance improvement initiativesAssist in supplier selection and qualification processesCustomer & Compliance:Act as a key point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and communicationEnsure compliance with applicable quality standards (ISO, customer-specific requirements, etc.)Maintain proper documentation and reporting to support audits and regulatory needsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field5–8+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environmentStrong experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, etc.)Working knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systemsExperience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferredStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsASQ / QEC Certification STRONGLY PREFERREDWhy This Opportunity:Join a stable, century-old manufacturer with continued growth and investmentEmployee ownership through ESOP—directly benefit from company successUnique two-week company-wide shutdown offering built-in work-life balanceCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
