We are looking to add a DOT Recruiter to our Human Resources team. This position will be based out of one of our Field branch locations (ex. Midland, Texas or Reno, Nevada, etc) and will be on-site several days a week to be connected with our field teams, while working across different regions.

Position Summary

The DOT Recruiter owns all aspects of recruiting for the company’s regions across the US (East, Central, West), including 25 states where ThompsonGas operates. This includes building local recruiting plans, using established sourcing channels, and developing new, creative sourcing approaches in (often) rural U.S. locations. The Recruiter works closely with the regional HR Business Partners and Field Operations leaders to identify and select candidates according to the company's hiring standards. This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager, HR Operations.

Essential Duties:

• Develop and execute local recruiting plans for the assigned regions
• Heavy emphasis on high volume roles including Delivery Drivers (DOT regulated) and Service Techs. May assist with non-DOT regulated roles as needed.
• Use both traditional and creative sourcing strategies to build candidate pipelines
• Partner with the regional HR Business Partner and Field Operations hiring managers to align on hiring needs and candidate selection
• Track and interpret recruiting metrics to evaluate pipeline effectiveness from requisition opening through onboarding.
• Utilize company established vendors for background check/drug testing requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of HR-related information at all times
• Positively build and promote the company’s employment brand and reputation in the external environment and with potential future employees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• At least 5 years of related recruiting experience in an industrial industry, with nationwide recruitment experience preferred (including California/West Coast)
• Trade/skilled-role recruiting experience required — including DOT-regulated drivers; prior experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Examples: Tenstreet, DriverHub, etc.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple levels of management and foster teamwork
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills; resourceful and able to take initiative with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
