Company Description Visiting Angels St. Louis South provides non-medical in-home care to seniors and disabled adults in Southern St. Louis and Northeast Jefferson Counties in Missouri. Care team members work closely with clients and families to tailor care plans to individual needs and preferences. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Caregiver role based in St. Louis, MO. Caregivers support clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, and assistance with errands and transportation as needed. Caregivers provide companionship, engage clients in conversation and activities, and observe and report changes in clients’ condition or needs. The role involves following individualized care plans, maintaining clear documentation, and collaborating with agency staff and family members to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Qualifications Ability to provide personal care and support with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe mobility. Skills in companionship and communication, including active listening, patience, empathy, and clear verbal and written communication. Capability to perform light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and basic home safety checks to support a clean and comfortable environment. Reliability in following care plans, documenting services provided, and reporting changes in client condition to supervisors or family members. Strong time management, dependability, and the ability to work independently in clients’ homes while following agency policies. Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field is preferred; relevant training or certification (such as CNA or home health aide) is a plus. Comfort working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, including respect for diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles.
