Workers Compensation Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate to join their team in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The role involves handling a variety of legal tasks related to workers' compensation cases, with opportunities for courtroom representation and collaboration with senior attorneys. Duties Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements. Represent clients in court hearings. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases. Maintain billable hours as necessary. Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision. Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, and trials when necessary. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required. Admitted to practice law in New Jersey state court required. 3-5 years of workers' compensation experience required. Experience with New Jersey State Rules of Court, Federal Rules of Court, and Rules of Evidence preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred. Self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management and organizational skills. Outstanding communication skills and ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice law in New Jersey state court. Skills Legal research and analysis. Document drafting and courtroom representation. Client relationship management.
