Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: RN Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Med/surg experience preferred Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the Medical Surgical Telemetry specialty. The facility is a level III trauma center. It provides healthcare services to a wide geographical area. Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. The hospital has a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, and behavioral health unit. Recognized for its outstanding facilities, the hospital is among the top beautiful hospitals in the U.S. The community offers a variety of attractions including hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. The role includes caring for a diverse patient population, requiring experience with various diagnoses. Common diagnoses treated include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure. The patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 1:5 and 1:6. The position requires utilizing specific medical equipment and an electronic health record system. Charge nurse experience and oncology skills are preferred but not required.
