Role Business Transactions Associate - Corporate/M&A (3-6 Years) Location New York, Stamford, Hartford, Providence, or Boston Base salary $195,000 - $220,000 for New York and Massachusetts offices; market-scale compensation elsewhere About the practice I'm partnering with a highly regarded, Vault-ranked Am Law 200 firm that is continuing to grow its Business Transactions Practice Group. This is an opportunity to join a sophisticated transactional team advising multinational companies, private equity firms and high-growth businesses across M&A, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures and broader corporate matters. The role offers genuine responsibility drafting and negotiating transaction documents, with exposure across a broad range of corporate and financial matters. Acquisition finance experience is a plus, but not required. The firm also has strong national recognition for its associate experience, with Vault recognition across areas including workplace culture, inclusion, lateral integration, technology and wellness. What you'll do Draft and negotiate transaction documents across M&A, private equity and venture capital Advise clients on joint ventures and broader corporate matters Support corporate governance and complex commercial matters Work with buyers and sellers across sophisticated transactions Advise multinationals, private equity firms and high-growth companies Take meaningful responsibility within a fast-paced, collaborative transactional team What they're looking for 3-6 years of transactional experience Strong drafting and negotiation experience across M&A, PE and/or VC Acquisition finance experience is helpful but not required Top academic and transactional credentials Excellent writing, research, negotiation and communication skills Strong team orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Admission in the state of the candidate's primary office location What's on offer $195,000-$220,000 base salary for New York and Massachusetts offices Market-scale compensation for other offices Hybrid working model, with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, paid vacation, paid sick leave and 401(k) Vault ranked firm with strong national recognition for associate experience Recognition for culture, inclusion, lateral integration, technology and wellness Long-established national platform with 275+ attorneys across 12 offices #J-18808-Ljbffr Hawkstone Search
