SQL Database Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a SQL Database Administrator in Boca Raton, FL.

Summary:
Our client is seeking a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join a collaborative technology team supporting mission-critical database environments and business applications. This role combines traditional database administration responsibilities with hands-on support for reporting and ETL development. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing SQL Server environments while also troubleshooting and enhancing SSRS reports and SSIS packages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a DBA who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, partnering closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high-performing, scalable, and reliable database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer, maintain, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments
* Perform database maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and job scheduling activities
* Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and non-production environments
* Develop, support, and maintain SSIS packages and ETL processes
* Create, modify, and troubleshoot SSRS reports
* Support cloud-hosted database environments, including Azure-based solutions
* Collaborate with software developers, QA teams, and business users to support application and reporting needs
* Assist with database migrations, upgrades, deployments, and system enhancements
* Participate in on-call support and after-hours deployments as needed
* Document database processes, configurations, and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
* Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, maintenance, and performance tuning
* Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
* Hands-on experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
* Experience developing and supporting ETL processes
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
