Electrician

Job Description

2 (1st and 2nd Shift)

Hours: 1st shift - 6am-2:30; 2nd shift 2-10:30pm

Must-Haves:

• At least 3 years of experience working in healthcare facilities

• High school diploma or GED

• Qualified electrician as defined by EM 385-1-1

• Journeyman Electrician license where required by the applicable jurisdiction, or military journeyman level 5 or higher documented on a DD214

• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications

• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code

• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance or site-access credentials

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical systems

• Ability to comply with OSHA requirements, local codes, project specifications, and government-site safety standards

Skills and Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program

• Healthcare facility electrical experience beyond the minimum requirement

• Government or military construction-site experience

• Experience working on Davis-Bacon Act-covered projects

• Familiarity with government contract documents and federal labor requirements

• Experience with specialty electrical testing, inspections, system assessments, and corrective maintenance
