Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and provide total patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice throughout all patient interactions
• Direct and guide patient teaching activities to support positive health outcomes
• Supervise and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel to ensure quality care delivery

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Must meet all health and employment screening requirements prior to start, including immunizations, drug screen, background check, and TB testing
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification (Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse) required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical nursing setting is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with completing required onboarding education modules prior to start date
