The Administrative Care Tech contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of clerical tasks. The Administrative Care Tech functions as receptionist for the unit and assists the patient care team while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. As a member of the patient care team, the Administrative Care Tech assists the nursing staff in providing basic patient care.

What you will do in this role:

• Greet and attend to patients and visitors
• Perform patient-centered secretarial tasks
• Receive and direct incoming calls and relay messages
• Ensure waiting areas and work areas are organized and safe
• Order and restock office and unit supplies
• Participate in the implementation of nursing care plans
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout their care
• Assist patients with mobility tasks, transfer patients, and assist with daily living care for patients
• Perform rounding and respond to call lights
• Prepare and maintain clean and hazard-free patient rooms
• Assist with post-mortem care

Job Qualifications

Experience

• Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred

Education

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Medical terminology course or other vocational training preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
