Environmental Health Specialist I

Environmental Health Specialist IOur Environmental Health Team is looking for an Environmental Health Specialist I, at our Central Public Health Center, located in Wheaton, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections of permitted facilities (restaurants, other food service establishments, schools, daycares, pools/spas) & engage in environmental health related activities; gain knowledge, interpret and apply rules and regulations of state law and local ordinances in a consistent manner. Job Details: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30pm (37.5 hours/week) On-Call (about 4 times a year) After 4:30 pm or weekends depending on temporary food events.This position comes with an outstanding benefits package designed to support your personal and professional well-being.
