Store Manager

Position Overview Join the Burlington Stores team as a Store Manager in one of the largest and fastest growing off‑price retailers in the nation. As a Store Manager you will be responsible for successfully managing all store operations tasks to maximize sales results while bringing “Our Burlington” values to life in your store. You will mentor, role‑model, coach your team members, and serve as a partner to associates across the organization. Your leadership will set the standard and deliver an excellent customer service experience. Responsibilities Directly manage and oversee Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of company policies, standards, expectations, and initiatives. Partner with the Assistant Store Manager – Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing. Partner with the Assistant Store Manager – Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns‑to‑vendor (RTV’s), and chargeback paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD); lead by example, model Burlington SOPs, and create a strong leadership presence. Manage a multi‑million‑dollar sales volume and expense budget, reviewing all reporting and record‑keeping. Recruit, screen, and hire associates to meet store staffing needs. Facilitate onboarding, training, coaching, and structured learning & development for all team members. Handle personnel and associate relations issues. Manage payroll budget, workforce scheduling, and workforce management. Facilitate effective communication and partnerships among the store team, district and regional management, and other partners within the company. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of retail management experience in a big‑box or specialty environment. Flexible schedule – able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software. Travel may be required from time to time. Compensation Range $74,420.00 – $93,025.00 Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage including life and disability insurance. Up to 12 days of paid time off annually (full‑time associates only).
