Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: 2 years of CVOR Tech experience required License: BLS required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: Experience with CABG, MVR, AVR, Aortic Root, Aortic Dissection, LVAD, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, and Aortic Aneurysm Repair cases Scrubs experience required Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred Experience with General Surgery required DaVinci experience highly preferred Description: The position requires a CVOR Tech for a day shift role. Candidates must have experience with 3-6 cases per day. Weeknight call requirements average 1-2 nights per week. Weekend call is required every 1-2 weekends on average. Block schedule cannot be accommodated. First-time travelers are not accepted. Candidates will float to other service lines as needed. Daily patient age groups range from adolescents to geriatrics. Common cases include CABG, MVR, AVR, Aortic Root, Aortic Dissection, LVAD, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, and Aortic Aneurysm Repair. Skills expected include proficiency in various surgical techniques and equipment usage. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and instrument processing. All candidates must be nicotine-free.
