This contract opportunity is perfect for an RN seeking a rewarding role within schools in the Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect, and Arlington Heights area. The placement may be either in-person or virtual, with details to be confirmed. You'll work weekdays from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, starting as soon as possible for a duration to be determined.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous school nursing experience or exposure to pediatric/adolescent health preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving needs in an educational environment
• Comfort using technology for documentation and communication

Main Responsibilities:

• Deliver health services, first aid, and medication administration to students in accordance with individual health plans
• Respond promptly and professionally to medical concerns and emergencies
• Manage documentation, health records, and ensure compliance with local and state health regulations
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to promote a safe and healthy school environment
• Participate in the creation and implementation of wellness policies and health education initiatives
• Support students with chronic conditions or disabilities to facilitate their full participation in school
