METRO TOWING LLC is a locally owned and operated towing company serving Lexington and Central Kentucky. Established in 1989, we have built our business around dependable service, professionalism, safety, and taking care of our customers and our community. We are a fast-paced, 24/7 towing operation, and our dispatch team plays a critical role in keeping our drivers, customers, and daily operations connected. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and confident Dispatcher to join our Lexington team. This is an on-site position at our Lexington, Kentucky location. Role Description As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating towing and roadside assistance calls from start to finish. You will communicate with customers and drivers, enter and update calls, assign jobs, monitor active calls, and help ensure our drivers have the information they need to safely and efficiently complete their work. This is a fast-paced position where priorities can change quickly. The right person will be able to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, multitask, and make good decisions while keeping customer service and safety a priority. Responsibilities Answer incoming customer and service calls in a professional and courteous manner Gather accurate information about each service request Enter calls and maintain accurate dispatch records Dispatch and communicate with drivers throughout their shifts Monitor active calls and driver status Provide drivers with accurate pickup locations, vehicle information, and other necessary details Communicate with customers regarding estimated arrival times and job status Prioritize calls based on urgency, location, and company procedures Handle changing priorities, delays, and unexpected situations Communicate with management regarding operational issues Follow METRO TOWING policies and dispatch procedures Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, drivers, and team members Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient dispatch operation Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Excellent multitasking and organizational skills Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software and company systems Ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Willingness to learn the towing industry and METRO TOWING procedures Knowledge of Lexington and surrounding areas is a plus Previous dispatch, towing, customer service, or call-center experience is a plus, but not required What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is dependable, level-headed, hardworking, and able to handle pressure without losing their professionalism.
