Integrity | Dedication | Respect | Innovation Select Sires, Inc. is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Semen Processing Intern . This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Manager of Semen Processing and Quality Control. Specific duties and responsibilities of a Semen Processing Intern include, but are not limited to, Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values. Initial semen evaluation and processing; sterilization of glassware and lab equipment. Transportation of semen. Performing semen quality control evaluations, semen extender preparation, general laboratory maintenance, and administrative tasks. Assisting with research projects, including sample preparation and analysis. Development and execution of an independent research project is a possibility, but not a requirement. A Semen Processing Intern's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs. SELECT SIRES, INC. Great verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Capability to prioritize tasks. Capacity to function well in a high-paced environment. Reliable means of transportation to report to work on-time. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OF A SEMEN PROCESSING INTERN: This position is open to all undergraduate students studying animal/dairy science or a related scientific field. An applicant will preferably be entering their junior or senior year of undergraduate education, but applicants who have graduated and are planning on continuing education in a pertinent field (i.e. graduate or professional school) will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A SEMEN PROCESSING INTERN:

Ability to constantly (6 - 8 hours) sit or stand.
