Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections – Corrections Services is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the team in the Nursing Department as a Registered Nurse. You could join the group of other medical professionals who perform the nursing and care of inmates within a state correctional facility. This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) at each level. However, the salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Registered Nurse 1 has an SER of $29.84 per hour. Registered Nurse 2 has an SER of $31.93 per hour. Registered Nurse 3 has an SER of $34.17 per hour. This position also offers premium pay…… A rate of $5.00 per hour for each hour worked, in addition to regular pay. The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and not the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
