Senior Software Engineer

Location: Miami, FL preferred (Hybrid arrangements possible) Employment: Full-time preferred; open to contract-to-hire for exceptional candidates The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. This is a hands-on position focused on developing, enhancing, and scaling our platform. Experience in payroll, employee benefits, HRIS, or other mission-critical business software is highly desirable. If you've built complex SaaS products with intricate workflows, compliance requirements, or sophisticated business logic, we’d love to connect with you. What You’ll Do Develop and implement new features across our platform Enhance the performance, stability, and scalability of existing systems Work closely with Product teams to refine technical solutions Contribute to architectural and technical design decisions Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Participate in code reviews and help uphold high engineering standards Proactively identify and resolve technical issues before they impact customers Assist in improving our automated testing and deployment pipelines This is a practical, hands-on engineering role where most of your time will be spent building software that delivers real value to our users. What We’re Looking For: Core Skills and Experience 7+ years of professional software engineering experience Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI tools, and the ability to optimize their use for maximum efficiency and accuracy Experience working with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright Proven track record in building scalable web applications Strong API design and integration expertise Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment Domain Expertise (Highly Preferred) We believe that deep domain knowledge maximizes the effectiveness of coding solutions. Relevant experience includes: Payroll systems Employee benefits platforms HRIS implementations Financial software solutions Compliance-intensive SaaS products Enterprise workflow management systems Candidates with payroll or employee benefits experience are especially encouraged to apply.
