Distribution Supervisor

Distribution Supervisor – Hammond, IN, United States Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for day‑to‑day distribution operations to ensure customer demand is met consistently and efficiently. Maintain supply reliability for customers and locations, ensuring all medical gas deliveries comply with FDA standards and Linde’s quality assurance system. Schedule delivery of packaged and cryogenic products to meet internal goals, customer expectations and operational standards. Train the Distribution Team in all aspects of Linde Safety and Quality systems and requirements. Monitor distribution efficiencies and staffing levels to ensure customer demands are consistently met. Lead safety initiatives, including administering safety training, conducting evaluations, and overseeing accident investigations. Control costs by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost‑efficient method of shipment. Drive productivity to maximize distribution capabilities and operational efficiency, while providing job training that fosters career development and growth. Qualifications High school diploma (college degree strongly preferred). Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience, with at least 2+ years in Distribution, Logistics, or Transportation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA. Experience working in a union environment is a plus. Demonstrated reasoning, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Self‑motivated with a proven ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.
