Metrology Sales Specialist - Outside Sales

Location: Canton, MI | Territory: Oakland County & Surrounding Areas Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Commission About The Opportunity MSI-Viking is seeking a motivated, results-driven Metrology Sales Specialist to grow our presence throughout Oakland County and the surrounding Michigan market. We're looking for a sales professional with a strong hunter mentality who enjoys developing new business, building customer relationships, and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships. You'll represent a broad portfolio of precision measuring tools, advanced metrology equipment, and calibration services. With an established customer base and dedicated technical and inside sales support, you'll have the resources to succeed while actively developing new business. What You'll Do Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout your territory. Manage and grow relationships with existing customers. Conduct regular customer visits, sales calls, and product demonstrations. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate metrology solutions. Develop quotations, manage sales opportunities, and close business. Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline information in our CRM. What We're Looking For Strong sales drive with a proactive, hunter mentality. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory. Strong organizational, computer, and CRM skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory. Previous industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales experience preferred. Knowledge of precision measurement, metrology, or capital equipment is a plus. Metrology experience is preferred but not required. We're equally interested in candidates with strong sales ability, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
