Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro Stepdown Location: Marrero, Louisiana Facility: Short Term Acute Care Job Type: Per Diem (PRN) Hourly Rate: $42 to $46, based on shift and experience Shift: Days (6:45am-7:15pm) or Nights (6:45pm-7:15am) Duration: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of consecutive acute care experience in last 5 years License: Active Louisiana RN License or compact Certifications: ACLS, BLS Charting Experience: Epic required Job Duties & Responsibilities: Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate direct patient care. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone. Monitor and engage with your patients, families, and appropriate care team members concerning significant events, patient condition changes, or patient questions and concerns. Prevent and treat wounds. Monitor and execute Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements. Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient. Advise and consult with supervisor when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely. Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and continuum of care services. Requirements: Must have 2 years of acute care experience within your speciality within the last 5 years!! Graduate of an accredited Nursing program Active and unencumbered Louisiana Board of Registered Nursing RN License Active BLS Certification (AHA only) Active ACLS Certification Required in Cath Lab, Med/Surg/Tele, ICU, PCU, Cardiac Rehab, Critical Care, ED/ER, L&D, PACU, Interv Radiology, Same Day Surgery, Stroke Units Active PALS Certification Required in Cath lab, ED/ER, PACU NIHSS Certification for Emergency Department, ICU, NICU & Med/Surg CPI Blue Card for ED/ER only Negative TB within last 12 months Hep B Series or Titer MMR Series or Titer Tdap Vaccine within last 10 years or Titer Varicella Series or Titer
