Job description Job Overview We are seeking passionate and energetic Lead Daycare Teachers to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational space for children to explore, learn, and grow. Your leadership will guide classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members. DCF 45 Hours and CDA and/or Qualifying Credentials required Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles across various domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare and classroom management standards are maintained. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support their welfare through regular updates and parent-teacher meetings. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Manage classroom environments effectively to foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills. Incorporate Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches as appropriate to enhance early childhood education experiences. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of childhood development theories, special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that include literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and community partners. Prior experience in preschool or private school environments is preferred. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; Montessori certification is a plus. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for young learners.
