Housekeeper 3 - Augusta YDC - Augusta Ga. (NSC)

Under broad supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision * Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas * May supervise and/or direct the work of others * Cleans and straightens assigned areas * Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition * Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed * Makes specialized clothing and other items ( restraining clothing, helmets, surgical gowns) * Mends and makes minor alterations to residents' clothing and other items. Makes simple repairs to upholstery and mattresses * Observes requires safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse * Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment * Plans, develops, schedules and implements laundry services Entry Qualifications: One year of experience as a lead worker in related area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower-level Housekeeper 2 (FES041) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency Qualifications - Internal One year of experience as a lead worker in related area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower-level Housekeeper 2 (FES041) or position One (1) year of experience as a lead worker in a related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 2 (FES041) or position equivalent.
