Position Summary
Newco Welding is seeking a dependable Shop Welder to join our in-shop team in Baytown, Texas. This position is focused on producing clean, consistent welds and completing assigned welding work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-shop fabrication and welding work.
- Complete MIG welds using 70S-6 hardwire and flux-core processes.
- Follow work instructions and meet weld-quality requirements.
- Inspect completed welds and correct defects when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop safety practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Hands-on MIG welding experience in a shop or production environment.
- Experience with MIG welding, including 70S-6 hardwire and flux-core.
- Ability to produce sound, consistent welds and pay close attention to quality.
- Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well with a team.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
