About the role
Sole practitioner medical office in Cooper City seeking an experienced, multi-skilled Medical Assistant who can handle both clinical and administrative duties, including billing, prescriptions, and phlebotomy (or willingness to train).ziprecruiter+1

Key responsibilities

• Provide front-desk support and help manage overall clinic workflow
• Perform medical billing and coding, claims submission, and follow-up
• Verify insurance and assist with revenue cycle tasks
• Call in prescriptions and coordinate with pharmacies
• Perform or assist with phlebotomy, if trained (or train into the skill)
• Prepare exam rooms, assist with patient prep, and support charting
• Help with other duties to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations

Qualifications

• Strong medical office experience; Medical Assistant background preferred
• Proven ability to multitask across administrative and clinical responsibilities
• Proficiency with billing, insurance verification, and basic coding
• Comfort calling in prescriptions and communicating with pharmacies
• Willingness to perform phlebotomy or learn
• Organized, reliable, and team-oriented; strong communication skills
• Must live within approximately 10 miles of Cooper City, FL
