Senior Data Analyst

Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking an onsite Senior Data Analyst with 7+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision support. This role focuses on data extraction, ETL development, SQL and Python programming, dashboard creation, and advanced analytics to support leadership decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex data to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights
- Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources to support reporting and analytics
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, ETL processes, data models, and curated datasets
- Create dashboards, visualizations, and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and other BI tools
- Support ad hoc analysis, recurring reporting, and KPI development
- Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear reports and presentations
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability through validation and testing
- Lead small analytical workstreams, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with client and project stakeholders
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement of reporting and analytics capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, business intelligence, data engineering, or related analytical roles
- 5+ years of finance or accounting experience
- 3+ years of experience with Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, etc.) and advanced DAX/M-language development
- Experience with statistical modeling, financial forecasting, and workflow automation
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data extraction, ETL processes, data transformation, and integration
- Hands-on experience developing datasets, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI
- Knowledge of business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization best practices
- Ability to perform complex data analysis and present insights to technical and business stakeholders
- Experience creating ad hoc and recurring reports, supporting decision-making, and leading small analytical teams or workstreams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
