  • Collaborate with department leaders to strengthen curriculum alignment, instructional practice, and the implementation of innovative academic programs.

  • Promote interdisciplinary learning, inquiry-based instruction, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and authentic learning experiences.

  • Help oversee student life, attendance, student conduct, and restorative discipline practices.

  • Maintain an accessible and visible presence throughout classrooms, campus activities, school events, and the broader school community.

  • Support faculty in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging culture rooted in intellectual curiosity, reflection, collaboration, responsible risk-taking, and continuous growth.

  • Build strong partnerships with students and families through proactive communication, relationship-building, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.

  • Assist in designing and facilitating faculty orientation, professional learning, new-teacher induction, mentoring, evaluation, and professional growth planning.

  • Collaborate across school departments to support effective planning and execution of school programs, events, accreditation efforts, and strategic initiatives.

  • Participate in student recruitment, admissions events, retention initiatives, community events, and efforts to strengthen external partnerships.

  • Empower faculty and staff, cultivate leadership capacity, and model integrity, humility, optimism, professionalism, and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field required.

  • Minimum of two years of successful educational leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated success in instructional coaching, faculty development, curriculum implementation, and student support.

  • Experience leading professional development and implementing school-improvement initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of instructional best practices, assessment, curriculum design, classroom management, and data-informed decision-making.

  • Proven ability to build a positive school culture and meaningful, trusting relationships with students, faculty, families, staff, and community members.

  • Creative and reflective leadership approach, with openness to emerging educational practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • High integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to lead with courage, compassion, humility, and optimism.

  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

At Sagemont Prep, we believe leadership is developed through meaningful responsibility and continuous growth. The Assistant Principal will serve as a trusted thought partner to the Principal, lead school-wide initiatives, coach faculty, and play a significant role in shaping the future of our Upper School.
