Forklift Operator – Warehouse/Material Handling

Location: Granite City, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator with strong experience in forklift operation, as well as order pulling and staging. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are accurately moved, staged, and prepared for shipment in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts to move materials throughout the facility
• Pull and stage orders accurately based on work orders and shipping schedules
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring product integrity and proper placement
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in designated staging and storage areas
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including pallet handling and material transfers
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Required Experience & Skills

• Prior forklift operation experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Strong background in order pulling, staging, and/or material handling
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and speed
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required
• Standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods
• Working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
