Food Service Assistant

Hollis Elementary School Position 4 hours per day (10:15am-2:15pm) Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To Preparing and serving food (may include cooking and baking). Assisting with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas. Maintaining all applicable health and sanitation standards. Operating a Computerized Accountability System. Attending staff training as needed. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) is required if offered the position. Experience: Prior successful school Food Service experience is a plus. Physical Requirements: Evidence of ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand for periods of time as long as 6+ hours on a cement/tile kitchen floor, work in a potentially hot and humid environment. Good math skills are a must. Knowledge of weight scales and sanitation is a plus. Ability to read and follow a recipe. Must be willing to learn and run a Computerized Accountability System.
