VP Area President Department 01761 - AUXILIARY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $50,000 - $60,000 DOE Close Date 12/10/2026 Job Summary The Client Experience Coordinator supports the University of Utah’s Auxiliary Business Development ( ABD ) team in the planning, coordination, and execution of partnership fulfillment, digital signage operations, and campus events. This position works closely with the Client Experience Manager, campus departments, external partners, vendors, and student employees to ensure partnership commitments and client deliverables are executed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. A primary responsibility of this position is the day-to-day management and operation of the University’s digital signage network. This includes scheduling and publishing content, managing software and user access, providing training and support to campus partners, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and ensuring digital signage content follows University policies and procedures. The position will also coordinate assigned sponsorship and partnership fulfillment projects, assist with event planning and execution, maintain project documentation and proof of performance, and help coordinate student employees supporting fulfillment and digital signage operations. Success in this role requires strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, comfort working with technology and software platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external partners. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to independently manage day-to-day responsibilities while knowing when to up This position reports to the Client Experience Manager. Responsibilities Manage the University’s digital signage network: Oversee day-to-day content scheduling, software administration, user support, network monitoring, and coordination of hardware maintenance and troubleshooting. Ensure signage remains operational and content follows University policies, brand standards, and sponsorship requirements. Evaluate and develop digital signage opportunities: Research emerging digital signage technologies, platforms, hardware, and best practices to identify opportunities to improve and expand the University’s digital signage network. Assess current and future signage needs, develop recommendations and potential solutions, and assist with planning for network growth and enhancements. Support campus emergency and safety communications: Work closely with University Emergency Management to ensure emergency and safety messaging capabilities are connected, operational, tested, and monitored across the digital signage network. Collaborate with Emergency Management to identify opportunities to expand the reach and effectiveness of safety and emergency communications across campus. Coordinate partnership and sponsorship fulfillment: Work with the Client Experience Manager, Crimson Brand Partners, campus departments, vendors, and external partners to coordinate assigned deliverables, timelines, promotional assets, signage, and other partnership commitments from planning through completion. Support events and partner activations: Assist with planning and execution of campus events, sponsorship activations, and other client‑facing experiences, including logistics, equipment, staffing, vendors, signage, and promotional materials. Manage project documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate project records, fulfillment tracking, agreements, deliverables, proof of performance, and other documentation using appropriate project management and business software. Train and coordinate student employees: Help train and assign work to student employees supporting digital signage, partnership fulfillment, and other ABD operations while providing opportunities for professional development and hands‑on experience. Collaborate and resolve issues: Serve as a day‑to‑day point of contact for assigned projects, work across departments and with external partners to coordinate deliverables, identify and resolve issues, and escalating complex matters to the Client Experience Manager or appropriate University resources. Support ABD operations and initiatives: Assist the Client Experience Manager with meetings, planning, departmental initiatives, and other projects that support the team’s partnership, client experience, and operational goals. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Project Coordinator, II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience. Preferences Professional experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, or operational responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with project management, event management, client services, partnership fulfillment, or related areas. Experience managing or supporting digital signage networks, content management systems, audiovisual technology, or other technology platforms. Experience troubleshooting technology, software, hardware, or network‑related issues. Experience working with databases, project management software, digital content platforms, or other business technology systems. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals across multiple departments and organizational levels. Strong collaboration skills and experience coordinating projects or deliverables across multiple departments, business units, vendors, or external partners. Ability to independently identify problems, develop solutions, and follow through to completion. A proactive, self‑motivated work style with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Experience supervising, training, or mentoring student employees or other staff. Interest in representing the University in campus, community, and corporate settings.
