Shipping & Receiving Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support daily warehouse and stockroom operations for our client. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring all materials and documentation meet company and customer requirements.

Schedule: Full-time

Pay: $17.00+/hour (based on experience)

*This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials; verify items against purchase orders and packing slips
• Enter and track materials in ERP and shipping systems; resolve discrepancies with purchasing
• Organize and maintain stockroom inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage
• Monitor inventory movement and process internal material requests
• Review customer orders and requirements to ensure accurate and compliant shipments
• Prepare shipping documentation, including certifications and test data as required
• Package products according to specifications and coordinate carrier pickups
• Generate invoices, close out orders in systems, and maintain organized records
• Support quality checks, inspections, and additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask
• Math and computer proficiency; ability to learn ERP systems and shipping software
• Familiarity with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx - domestic and international) preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Dependable with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
