With product installed on over two-thirds of the world's aircraft, Safe Flight counts among its customers the majority of the world's aircraft manufacturers, more than 50 airlines, hundreds of operators of corporate jet aircraft and U.S. and International Armed Services.Safe Flight's benefits include employer-funded health care, life insurance, on-site lunch program, 401K contribution, Wellness and Education Reimbursement, paid-time off and sick time, and various other programs.Job DetailsIn office Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m. Hourly Rate: Ranges from $23 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experienceDuties/ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models to determine the best machining methods.Operating manual and automated machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders).Aligning and securing workpieces in the machine, and zeroing out the tools to ensure pinpoint accuracy.Monitor the feed and speed of machines.Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, minimizing machine downtime and increasing overall production efficiency.Collaborate with prototypes to resolve fabrication issues and suggest design or process improvements.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesGood communication and strong interpersonal skills required (team player). Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and interpret measurement data. Mechanical aptitude, hands-on understanding of how machinery operates. Blueprint ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols. Knowledge of CNC programming and/or operation a plusExperienceA minimum of 5+ years of experience.
